“28” is a lucky number in China as the 28th day of September was the birthday of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. This date stands for success, luck, long-term development and progress! A day to go down in the history of our Company as one suited to being a highly successful foundation for a new activity.

The factory was constructed and commissioned in just 250 days! We would like to express our thanks to our highly motivated and skilled employees in Europe and China – and particularly to the members of the project-team - for this excellent achievement.

Plates and batteries for traction and standby products will be produced for the Chinese and Asia market. The first products have already left the factory.

The 250 new members of the HOPPECKE family in China will be trained either at our main base in Germany or by highly experienced HOPPECKE personnel in China itself. In this way we will be able to guarantee for our customers a high and consistent level of quality for the products of our new plant and remain true to our central principle of one brand, one standard of quality, one company-wide philosophy.

With our own production site in China, HOPPECKE will be in a position to meet the challenges of growth in the Chinese and Asian markets and to match our increasingly strong regional competitors. Direct deliveries from China to the markets of Asia will also allow us to concentrate our German production capacities on meeting the continually growing demand from our European customers for increased levels of service and, at the same time, secure the jobs of HOPPECKE employees in the region!
