It is one of the smallest of currently 21 international subsidiaries. Six employees work at HOPPECKE Japan in Yokohama, south of Tokyo on the Bay of Tokyo.
The Japanese market is characterized by partly own industry standards, product sizes, legal regulations and product certifications. In addition, Japanese culture demands its own communication that is unfamiliar to Europeans. Good coordination and cooperation between the HOPPECKE Group and its subsidiary Japan is therefore very important.
Ludwig Merz, who is responsible for strategy at the HOPPECKE Group's international subsidiaries, recently visited our colleagues in Japan again. The local team has set itself the goal of growing with new products, concepts and channels for the Japanese market. An exciting task in a very exciting country.
