More than 3000 exhibitors in 41 halls and on a large open-air area, over 3500 running metres of track, InnoTrans (18 to 21 September 2018, Messe Berlin) is the leading international trade fair for transport technology. At Innotrans 2018 HOPPECKE, as a leading supplier of industrial batteries, presents its customized solutions for locomotive propulsion and auxiliary power supply in trains.
At InnoTrans in 2016 HOPPECKE, together with Gmeinder Lokomotiven, exhibited the first lithium traction batteries suitable for railway applications. Today the first lithium traction batteries, installed in shunting locomotives, are already in commercial use. The traction batteries in the rail|systemizer LiOn energy system are noted for their high energy density, good performance and extremely high cycle stability. The outstanding advantages delivered by the reliable lithium-ion battery technology include a very wide usable capacity window and low maintenance costs. The batteries are designed as a customised complete battery system. The rail|control monitoring system facilitates remote access to all relevant operating data. Dynamic data gathering allows maintenance measures to be initiated proactively and thereby failures to be minimised and optimising system availability.
For safeguarding the power supply in railway and metro systems HOPPECKE offers its rail|systemizer energy systems in the three leading technologies nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion and lead-acid. The systems are customized for every application and can be used at any time, even at very high and very low temperatures.
