Our Chinese locations in Wuhan and Liyang are marking two remarkable anniversaries, reflecting on years of continuous growth, technological innovation, and trusted partnerships. Alongside festive celebrations with employees and their families, the anniversary week centered on high-level political discussions about future direction and joint innovation initiatives.

10 Years of HOPPECKE Liyang: From relocation to key position in rail manufacturing
Under the motto "A Decade of Light, Breaking New Horizons," the team in Liyang celebrated its ten-year milestone. Since its strategic relocation from Shanghai in 2016, the facility has developed dynamically and today is an essential component of China's rail vehicle industry.
Together with their families, long-standing colleagues, and team members from Wuhan, employees reflected on their success story. Management—represented by Dr. Marc Zoellner and Manfred Barfuss—extended their congratulations in person on-site. The presence of Liyang's Mayor Chao further underscored the region's high regard and the significance of German-Chinese collaboration.

20 Years of HOPPECKE Wuhan: Anniversary Cruise and Team Spirit on the Yangtze
Under the motto "Twenty Years of United Strength—Setting Sail for the Future," nearly 600 guests gathered aboard the cruise ship Guqin for an unforgettable anniversary voyage on the Yangtze River. Together with employees, families, and distribution partners, Dr. Marc Zoellner, Manfred Barfuss, and Michael Entrup celebrated this milestone. Honored guests included Vice District Mayor Xie Mingji (Dongxihu District) and Huang Yulian, Director of the Trade Bureau.
The event featured unforgettable highlights: As night fell, the Yangtze skyline illuminated in a specially arranged light display—buildings glowed with the message "HOPPECKE Wuhan 20 Years." Long-serving employees who have remained loyal to the location since its founding were honored. An engaging stage program vividly reflected the team spirit and close-knit unity throughout the entire facility.

Catalysts for Innovation: Strategic Dialogue with Government
A key highlight of the anniversary week was the meeting on September 10 between Group CEO Dr. Marc Zoellner and his management team with high-level representatives from the City of Wuhan and Hubei Province, including Sheng Yuechun (Member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Wuhan Municipal Party Committee) and Vice Mayor Yao Bin.
Government officials recognized HOPPECKE's significant contribution to the region's economic and social development. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen their trusted partnership—particularly through joint innovation projects with local universities, expanding the local presence, and developing intelligent energy storage solutions.

The two anniversaries send a clear message: China's locations are central pillars for innovative growth, sustained commitment, and a future-proof partnership in the market.
