It’s official. There’s no stopping Gus Whyte! Our sales director helped to raise £75,000 for a leading cancer charity.

Climbers raise £75,000 for cancer charity

Gus was among 90 people to climb hills in the Like District National Park. They went the extra mile for the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). The event took place around Coniston on November 5. Good news after a two-year absence due to Covid restrictions.

Wet and windy

Unfortunately, it was a very wet and windy day. Decidedly tricky conditions. Especially for Gus, who wore his kilt!

Fundraising topped £75,000

Overall, the fundraising total topped £75,000. No mean feat. Plus, a superb effort by Gus and wife Liz. They contributed over £2,000. The ICR duly acknowledged this achievement. Special recognition goes to the highest value donation collected by an individual. Accordingly, the charity awarded Gus the Climb of Life medal.

Thank you

Well-deserved congratulations to Gus. Also, huge thanks to friends and industry colleagues for so generously supporting him.
