HOPPECKE has had a successful week at the Intersolar 2018 in Munich. At the leading international trade fair for the solar industry and its partners, the manufacturer of industrial batteries and energy storage systems presented on the one hand the innovative large storage system, which is used in numerous energy storage applications. On the other hand, there is still strong international demand for reliable and proven batteries for regions without electricity grids.
"Our trade fair talks this year were of remarkably good quality", HOPPECKE stand manager Danilo Zithier sums up: "The pure number of visitors corresponded to our estimates from the experiences of previous years. This time, however, particularly many trade visitors already had a concrete interest in projects. We notice the importance of Intersolar as a leading international trade fair by the fact that our audience also came from all over the world and that we were able to make further promising international contacts".
The focus of the 100 square metre HOPPECKE stand at the Munich Trade Fair Centre was the large scale storage system sun|systemizer scalecube. It has a modular container design and is used, for example, in industrial plants to buffer peak consumption that would otherwise require expensive investments in the power grid infrastructure. The large storage facility is also of great interest to the trend industry of electromobility. Our electricity grid is not capable of transporting as much energy nationwide as is required for the widespread and fast charging of electric cars.
As an international meeting place for trade visitors from the fields of photovoltaics, renewable energies and energy storage, the Intersolar and ees Europe trade fair also offers a top-class lecture and discussion programme every year. This year Frederik Suellwald, international key account manager for large storage systems at HOPPECKE, spoke about the advantages of hybrid energy storage systems such as the sun|systemizer scalecube. The combination of lead and lithium storage technologies makes it possible to make optimum use of the respective strengths of the technologies, tailored to the application.
The trade visitors to the HOPPECKE stand were not only interested in the innovative large storage tank. For photovoltaic systems in regions without a stable power grid, mainly in Africa and parts of Asia, the project companies rely on robust and proven technology. Here HOPPECKE offers mature lead batteries that work reliably for many years even under difficult climatic conditions.
The next trade fair appearance for HOPPECKE is already imminent. The company will be participating in the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo in Amsterdam next week (June 27-29). The world's largest marine trade fair is dedicated to the latest technologies, components and solutions for electric and hybrid propulsion systems.
