Looming bills following the expense of Christmas. Life can be difficult at this time of year. Many families seek help within their local community. We’re keen to play our part. That’s why we support Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank.

Our £500 donation will provide food to people in crisis. Caroline Wolfe, community and business liaison co-ordinator at Stoke-on-Trent Foodbankcalled by to say thank you. She is pictured with Hoppecke UK’s general manager Stuart Browne and HR manager Lynne Morris.

3 days’ food

Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank officially opened in spring 2012. Since then, it has assisted over 99,390 people. More than 37,800 of them are children. The Foodbank provides sufficient nutritionally balanced emergency food for three days. This is available via a referral to local people in crisis.

Support throughout Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust. They work to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Today, Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank operates 14 distribution centres. It also has a dedicated warehouse.

Making a difference

Yet, it’s support is about more than emergency food. Volunteers signpost people to agencies able to solve their longer-term problems.
