Siemens Mobility honours HOPPECKE with the Technology and Innovation Award - Wednesday, 25.10.2023

Siemens Mobility, a leading provider of transport solutions, recently honoured its most outstanding suppliers who have contributed significantly to the company's success with an award. As a long-standing member of Siemens Mobility's supplier network, we are delighted to have received Siemens Mobility's prestigious Technology and Innovation Award this year.

This award is in recognition of our innovative lithium on-board battery system, which is setting standards in the industry. It was introduced for the first time in a major European metro network. The system is characterised by a 50 % reduction in installation space, a 30 % reduction in weight and a significant reduction in maintenance requirements, while at the same time extending the service life. In this way, Siemens Mobility can significantly increase customer benefits.

This award is not only a confirmation of our strategic orientation to be the technology leader in the field of lithium-ion battery systems for the backup and propulsion of rail vehicles, but also an incentive to consistently maintain this course and continuously improve.

We are convinced that innovation is based on the creativity, courage, commitment and curiosity of our employees. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our teams who have contributed to this outstanding success.

"We are proud of this award and will continue to drive the mobility of the future with pioneering ideas, solutions and innovations. Our partnership with Siemens Mobility remains an integral part of this exciting journey. We are ready to tackle the challenges of the industry with pioneering spirit and innovation." Says Michael Hilmerich, Head of HOPPECKE Rail Division.
