Electric heavy-duty forklift trucks are increasingly moving into areas previously reserved for industrial trucks with combustion engines - Wednesday, 05.05.2021

What was unthinkable years ago is now reality: electric forklift trucks with a load capacity of 25 tons. Rising fuel costs, new and stricter emission standards for diesel drives, the efficiency of electric drives and increasing environmental awareness in intralogistics have led to this development.

Battery manufacturers such as HOPPECKE have embraced this development, as conventional PzS traction batteries quickly reach their limits when transporting and lifting heavy loads, meaning that smooth operation can often not be guaranteed in such cases.

Years of research and development have resulted in the trak | uplift quadro, a powerful traction battery. It meets the special requirements of forklift trucks with high tonnage, in high-current applications and in applications with dynamic load profiles.

Thanks to the innovative cell design, this new battery has the ability to maintain high voltages and provide the required battery capacity while delivering high currents. Coupled with its fast-charging capability, this means trouble-free processes for the user and at the same time more productive time in a shift. Furthermore, the lower heat development under high load compared to a conventional PzS battery is a plus for the service life.
